Praslea 2 hours recording from Ibiza Underground, Model 500 legendary album, a bandcamp gem from RQZ and more
Aaaaah, the gentle spring sun caressing our frozen senses and announcing us that it’s time to exit our hibernation dens! As usual, we have prepared a nice music selection, to enhance your record collection and also have something nice to listen to while walking your dog, washing your car or preparing dinner for your loved ones. Praslea, Juan Atkins aka Model 500, RQZ and Maurice Giovannini are our recommendations for this month! Happy digging, everyone!
Praslea @ Ibiza Underground 09.2016
10 years ago, when a beer in Ibiza Underground was “only” 12 euros, Praslea recorded this mix. Needless to say, a well balanced combination of deep house cuts and minimal twirls and twists. You know, the stuff that made Romania’s underground so appreciated for the past 15 years. We can heartly say this will color your weekend in nostalgic tones (Dopamine blue is the color code)
We also have a vault filled with timeless mixes, you can access it here
Album Of The Month: Model 500 - Deep Space
There’re so many things we can say about Juan Atkins’ Deep Space masterpiece… so we better don’t say. This album (now 30 years old) is the best definition you could get for Detroit Techno: soothing cosmic Detroit electronic soul music. Way, way WAY ahead of its time, with tracks like Starlight for which you can swear they were produced this year. This record should be in any serious record collections out there, regardless if you are or not into 4/4 kind of music.
Terence :Terry: reminded us about this album on his Vinyl Alter Ego selection here
BANDCAMP DIG: RQZ - Time Again
For all the daydreaming clubheads out there, this one is for you: smooth electronics, a slow paced baseline and a nature’s caress gentle vibe. And if you like this one, check RQZ’ back catalog, with releases for Memoria, Unic or Afterhours. There are some solid bangers out there ;)
