🪰 Down The Electronic Rabbit Hole #6: A 2 hrs long Suciu Recording, An Iconic Ambient Album And More
Different types of shivers down the spine in this newsletter: stright from the middle of the dancefloor, activated by drone music or driven by an underground recording studio from Switzerland. Dive in
Ho Ho Ho… Ready for the Christmas rush? We know we are and we actually have the perfect soundtrack for this month. Smooth electronic music, from straight forward micro House to stomach twisting techno, from pure ambient bliss to pure minimal house made in Romania. We crawled the Soundcloud, Bandcamp and Youtube’s most remote corners to bring you the best stuff we enjoyed in the past few weeks. With a free to download track included, of course :)
Suciu - BP guest series 006
After so many years and so many dead neurons on the dance floor, one thing is clear: the nights spent with Suciu behind the decks were some of the best. Even better as some of them went completely under the radar, for people to enjoy a not so crowded dance floor experience. This one, recorded for the BodyParts podcast is so good that it made it to our short list of iconic DJ sets.
ALBUM OF THE MONTH: Loscil - Sea Island
We must admit: we’re suckers for weird ambient sounds. And when something is spiced up with some techno references, we’re sold! Loscil’s Sea Island is a journey through the frozen tundra of electronic music. Every song from this album has a set of emotions to paint. It’s one of the few albums that are extremely visual. Probably the best Scott Morgan album. It goes so deep into your soul, you’re sometimes afraid on putting the needle on this record. Pure bliss!
BANDCAMP DIG: KFM Live - Palaver EP
We took a trip down Switzerland’s undergrounds where we discovered a hard to describe in words textured techno crafted by Sascha Hodler aka KFM Live. Palaver is a rare find, with 4 out of 4 tracks that would build up a smooth techno tension on any dance floor.
